Who Am I?

Experience

I am a first-year Architecture student at BGSU. Throughout high school I participated in team sports like cross country, swim, and water polo, and my favorite classes were engineering and ceramics, although I enjoyed any class that gave me design challenges. Some of my hobbies include snowboarding, skateboarding, and throwing on a ceramics wheel.

I also spent a week at Ohio Business Week, where I and 9 other students were tasked with designing and selling a product to investors, in which I was the lead designer for our product.

I've always enjoyed finding new solutions to problems, and weaving art into those solutions really inspires me to make something great that can be analyzed and appreciated for its utility and creative use of space. A more specific inspiration is Petrichor, the earthy aroma after rain. I've always found intense emotions and feelings within petrichor: calm, happy, satisfied, at peace, and this warm fuzzy feeling inside. I seek to capture these feelings in my future architectural works, winding nature and emotions with functional physical designs that cord together to give a sense of petrichor.
